Alden Richards gets 8x Platinum Award for Wish I May

Alden Richards is now an 8x Platinum Awardee for his album Wish I May.

The GMA-7 actor received the recognition from the Philippine Association of the Record Industry during the September 18 episode of Sunday Pinasaya.

“Lahat ng awards is a reminder of how well you’re doing [and] how people are inspired by what you do so parang I take it as a token [because] people appreciate what I do in all aspects of my career,” said the actor in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.

DJ Bae added, “Sana habang buhay ko na dadalhin ang Wish I May album [kasi it] did so well. Talagang sobrang naging memorable because I never [thought] I will have an album na mag-e-eight times [platinum] in a lifetime. I’m very thankful talaga.”

The Kapuso actor then expressed his gratitude for all his fans. “Thanks to the supporters [and] followers. Nakaka-inspire lang na parang they believe in you so much that they give all their support just to make something you [want to] do memorable to you.”

Alden also dedicated the success of his album to his late mother. “Of course, to the fans, to the supporters [and] to all who have been believing in me since the day I started – to my mom, my family, of course to my management. Sobrang thankful ako sa kanila.”
