The much-anticipated wedding of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza finally took place in the October 22 episode of Kalyeserye in Eat Bulaga!
The wedding took place at the Shrine of Jesus, The Divine Word Church in Quezon City.
According to host Pia Guanio, this is the church where Alden, Maine and the Tres Lolas Nidora (Wally Bayola), Tidora (Jose Manalo), and Tinidora (Paolo Ballesteros) hear mass.
Alden and Maine’s wedding preparations were captured by famous event videographer Jason Magbanua.
Lala Flores did Maine’s make-up.
One of the first guests to arrive at the wedding venue was Maine’s classmate Jake Ejercito.
Jake wished the newlyweds “genuine happiness.”
Principal sponsor Helen Gamboa has also gave her wishes for the “newly-married” couple: “I wish them love, joy and peace. Siyempre, yung pagpapasensya sa isa’t isa.”
Three songs were used for the wedding march: Alden and the entourage walked down the aisle with Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” at the background.
Alden walked towards the altar together with his grandmother Lola Babah (Ai-Ai Delas Alas).
The Tres Lolas and Maine’s father Dodong (Vic Sotto) entered the church as Kuh Ledesma sang “When I Fall In Love.”
Maine then walked down the aisle with the song “God Gave Me You” in the background as she was accompanied by her father Dodong (Vic Sotto) and the Tres Lolas.

Alden then paid his respects to them before Dodong officially handed over Maine’s hands to him.
During the wedding rites, everytime Alden and Maine would say “I Do,” a tearful Lola Nidora would then shriek out loud, much to the laughter of the wedding guests.
AlDub then wore their wedding rings and exchanged their wedding vows.

The wedding presider then announced Alden and Maine as Mr. and Mrs. Richards!
However, when they were about to kiss, Lola Nidora shouted Maine’s name from her seat and fainted!
But later on, she was able to recover, saying that she passed out because she felt dizzy. When she recovered, Lola Nidora finally told the newlywed couple to finally kiss!
Alden then kissed Maine on the lips for almost a minute!
The guests then asked for another kiss from the couple and Alden kissed Maine on the forehead.
Maine even wiped Alden's lips after their kiss!
In one of their photo ops, Alden and Maine did their famous Pabebe Wave pose!
