Comedienne Ethel Booba said her contract has ended with GMA-7 officially on October 27 but denies moving to rival network ABS-CBN.
Ethel revealed this during the PMPC Star Awards for Television, wherein she shared the Best Reality Competition Program Host award with Paolo Bediones for GMA-7’s Extra Challenge. She was also named Star of the Night.
“Hindi pa ako [lumilipat],” Ethel said. “Wala lang. Tapos na ‘yong contract ko [with GMA]. Wala naman guesting. Wala naman project… Wala naman [offer ang GMA-7]… E maraming offer na guesting ‘yong kabila [ABS-CBN].”
With a not-so-busy schedule nowadays, Ethel looks forward to lie low from show business. Part of her plans is to have a baby with partner Alex Crisano before undergoing surgery for an ovary ailment.
“’Yon nga ‘yong sabi ng duktor diba… Gawa na ng baby bago operahan… Try naming mag-baby a.s.a.p Buti nga medyo napahinga ako,” Ethel said.
Asked who she wants the baby to take after, Ethel manages throw in a joke: “Mixed, may batik-batik!” She laughs.
