The much-awaited face-off of Coco Martin and Arjo Atayde is finally happening in the episode of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano airing tonight, February 27.
In teasers being aired by ABS-CBN, Cardo (Coco) is set to face his nemesis Joaquin (Arjo) after a long time of hiding from him.
The episode promises an action-packed night as Cardo and Joaquin exchange gunshots as they try to kill each other.
In Arjo’s Instagram post earlier today, he said that he misses working with Coco, since it has been a long time since their characters had scenes together.
He posted a picture of him and Coco and wrote, “Sa totoo lang namiss kita kaeksena bro. Masaya akong nakabonding uli kita”
He also gave a hint regarding the fate of his Joaquin character. “bye bye Joaquin na nga ba? alamin mamaya sa #FPJAPBanggaan”
In 2016, Arjo won as Teleserye Supporting Actor of the Year in The PEP List Year 4 for his portrayal in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
He dedicated his award to Coco. In Arjo's speech, he recalled how the latter told him that he wants to work with him someday.
Some time later, Arjo got the offer to be part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Arjo said in his speech, “All of a sudden, they said, 'You're a part of Probinsyano.'
"Three years later, I opened the door and they just told me there was a storycon.
"I opened the door and then Coco Martin goes to me, hugs me, and tells me 'This is what I promised you.'"
