New cast members will be introduced in tonight’s episode of Encantadia, February 28.
In the teaser aired last night, February 27, the Etherians (played by Rochelle Pangilinan, Diana Zubiri, and Neil Ryan Sese) will rush to the tribe of the Punjabwes.
The characters in the new tribe will be played by actor Joross Gamboa, Starstruck 6 graduate Arra San Agustin, and former ABS-CBN actor Marx Topacio.
Marx is known as the boyfriend of Miss Universe Philippines candidate Maxine Medina.
Encantadia serves as Marx’s first full-length appearance in a GMA-7 series.
In the telefantasya, he is set to portray the role of Azulan, a role first portrayed by Jay-R in the third book of the original version Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas.
The model-turned-actor started his career in 2012 when he joined the late-night Kapamilya primetime series Kahit Puso’y Masugatan.
In this series, he played Balong who has feelings for Andrea, a character played by Iza Calzado.
In 2013, he joined the ABS-CBN remake of Maria Mercedes starring Jessy Mendiola. He played the older brother of Mercedes.
Back then, Marx did not have a regular series. However, he appeared in several episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya and Ipaglaban Mo.
In 2016, Marx first appeared in GMA in an episode of the drama anthology Karelasyon.
