From doing romantic-drama projects, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will be shifting to action stunts for the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye La Luna Sangre.
The teaser of this fantaserye was shown at the ABS-CBN Trade Launch.
The Kathniel love team was seen doing a fight scene against each other. They admitted that it was very hard to do the one-minute action scene.
“Kung nakita n'yo lang kung paano yun ginawa, sumuka kami ni DJ, ang hirap!
“Doon ko talaga na-realize na ang hirap kapag action,” Kathryn told entertainment reporters in an interview after the press conference of their new movie, Can't Help Falling in Love.
Based on the teaser, it seems that Kathryn and Daniel will be making full use of harnesses for their fantaserye.
She added, “Ilang moves lang, ang tagal mong ire-rehearse.
“'Tapos yung form mo, lahat.
“Pero nae-excite akong mapanood 'yong outcome.”
For their action scenes, Daniel said he and Kathryn were trained in Pekiti Tirsia Kali, a type of Filipino martial arts.
“Nagte-training din kami ng Pekiti para doon sa mga action na eksena.
“Lahat calculated [ang moves], mas maliit, mas mahirap,” Daniel said.
Regarding their new look in the series, the 21-year-old Kapamilya actor said it was just decided when they were about to shoot the teaser.
“Pinag-usapan lang namin nina Direk Cathy [Garcia-Molina] 'yon.
“Basta makikita n'yo ang buhok ni Kathryn doon, ako ang nag-ano dun,” he said.
Kathryn pointed out, “Kasi, dapat may look test kaso hindi kami natuloy.
“So, noong day na 'yon, doon na bahala.
“As in yung damit ko ginupit pa, 'tapos doon na tinahi. So, lahat ng ideas binitawan na doon.
“Of course, with Direk Cathy [Garcia-Molina], alam naman natin kung gaano siya ka-hands-on sa looks.”
Viewers can also look forward to the reunion of John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin in La Luna Sangre.
“Alam ko po may scenes kami. Pero sila nga po ang magpa-pilot, so okay din 'yon para sa mga fans ng Imortal at Lobo,” said Kathryn.
