There were hints dropped in the finale of Encantadia indicating that there could be a continuation of GMA-7's epic telefantasya.
In the May 19 episode of Encantadia, viewers got to see the return of Raquim (Dingdong Dantes) as well as Vish'ka (Conan Stevens).
The wedding of Danaya (Sanya Lopez) and Aquil (Rocco Nacino) took place as officiated by the new Bathalumang Cassiopea (Solenn Heussaff). 
The wedding of Pirena (Glaiza de Castro) to Azulan (Marx Topacio) also took place amidst great cheers and fireworks.
Danaya gave up the throne, which led to the coronation of Alena (Gabbi Garcia) as the new Hara of Lireo.
Emre also allowed Amihan (Kylie Padilla) to become an ivtre once again. This gave her the chance to see Ybrahim (Ruru Madrid) one more time.
Cassiopea (Solenn Heussaff) presented a child to Ybrahim and said that the young girl is from her blood, the hair of Lira, the ashes of Amihan.
Cassiopea said that she will be called Cassandra and she will be Ybrahim's heir.
The Sang'gres gave birth to a new generation of babies who could continue the story of Lireo.
In the end, it was revealed that Cassiopea had a twin sister who is an ice queen. She addressed her pet owl, "Huwag kang mag-alaala aking alaga, nalalapit na ang pananakop ko sa lupain ng mga enkantado."

Encantadia got an AGB NUTAM rating of 13.8%.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN's Ang Probinsyano, starring Coco Martin, got 11.1%.
The Kapuso primetime series got a TV rating that is 1.9 points higher than its rival show.
