GMA-7 star Michael V. responded to a netizen who made nasty accusations about him for his throwback post.
This weekend, the Pepito Manaloto main star wrote a lengthy Instagram post about his first-ever television show that aired in ABS-CBN: the game show Ready, Get Set, Go (1992-1997).
He recalled his experiences on the show; the people he worked with, the sacrifices, and how the program remained undefeated in its six-year run.
He wrote: "Sino nakaka-alala sa "Ready, Get Set, Go!" ng ABS-CBN? Bakit wala akong mahanap na photo or video sa internet?
"This is my first ever TV Show! I used to drive from Cavite to Quezon City every Sunday and make it to the studio before 11am. I did rap intros to all the segments with Eric Quizon, Patrick Guzman, Maila Gumila, Eula Valdez, Eagle Riggs, Danny Pansalin and (later on) Carmina Villaroel and G. Toengi as hosts.
"I worked with Wenn Deramas, Enrico Santos, Deo Endrinal, Biboy Arboleda, Manong Gilbert Perez, Alou Almaden, Ms. Dagang Vilbar, Mam Cory Vidanes (and a lot I couldn't remember) on this show for 6 years!
"Ready, Get Set, Go!" was undefeated in ratings until its final episode.
"Incidentally, it was supposed to be my final year too.
"Noon ako nag-decide na Sunday should be a FAMILY DAY and it's been like that for me ever since."
On Twitter, a netizen (@Noy_Felipe) reacted to Michael V.’s post and urged the Bubble Gang mainstay to return to his original network.
He also threw shade at the comedian whom he accused of being motivated by money and fame.
It's all about the money, kaya go. Return-return lang pag may time. Simpleng isyu lang eh. Para ano? Para may mapag-usapan? Ahh, Okay.
