This October, the GMA Public Affairs Department revisits the past and brings forgotten issues back to the present through its newest late night program: Case Unclosed.

Case Unclosed answer questions of the past that were left behind. The program takes a closer look at scandals and issues of recent history and goes as far back as the events that plagued our nation's forefathers. Combining docu-drama with actual accounts from the people involved, Case Unclosed re-examines political issues, tragedies, and other important events in history to provide never-before-seen perspectives and angles. Under the direction of respected independent filmmakers, Case Unclosed also provides the audience with an intense and heart-pounding viewing experience.

Among the senior journalists of GMA News and Public Affairs, one voice stands out: that of Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Philippines Awardee and Rotary Broadcast Journalist of the Year Kara David. She narrates these past events and further investigates the true stories behind the issues for Case Unclosed.

On its pilot episode this Thursday, October 2, Kara David revisits Ozone Disco, wherein 161 people, mostly graduating students, died in a tragic fire. More than a dozen years after the disaster, what happened to the case? Reports say that there are still victims that remain unidentified, and that no one went to jail for the tragedy.

Directed by award-winning independent film director Adolfo Alix Jr., Kara David retells the case of the Ozone Disco tragedy through the eyes of the victims, witnesses and police investigators, and brings back the unanswered questions that have lingered over the past 12 years.

Re-examine unsolved cases and find answers to longstanding questions in Case Unclosed with Kara David starting this Thursday, October 2, 2008, after the late night newscast Saksi.
