Even on a rainy afternoon, the stars came out for the 43rd Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Parade of Stars in Muntinlupa City on December 23.
A total of eight floats representing the eight official entries to the annual film festival made their much-awaited appearance as fans waited on the sides to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars.
These are the eight movies represented at the MMFF Parade of Stars: All of You, Ang Larawan, Ang Panday, Deadma Walking, Haunted Forest, Meant to Beh, Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad, and Siargao.
For the first time, the MMFF Parade of Stars was held outside Manila. This year, the parade was hosted by the City Government of Muntinlupa, as part of the city's Centennial Celebration culminating activities.
The MMFF Parade of Stars commenced at the Muntinlupa Sports Center and ended at the Filinvest City Event Grounds in Alabang.
Here's a peek at what went down during the MMFF 2017 Parade of Stars:

- All of You stars Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado were joined by their co-stars onboard a red, Taiwan-inspired float. Taiwan is where Derek and Jennylyn's characters, Gab and Gabby, meet--and fall in love--for the first time.

- Coco Martin and Jake Cuenca topbill Ang Panday. Joining them on the movie's flower-filled float are co-stars Lito Lapid, Mariel de Leon, and Kylie Verzosa.
- Jake Cuenca may play the villain Lizardo in Ang Panday, but he was certainly a friendly face during the Parade of Stars.

- Joross Gamboa and Edgar Allan Guzman came dressed in matching pink shirts, befitting their characters as gay BFFs in the movie, Deadma Walking.

- Meant to Beh's candy-laden float featured Vic Sotto with co-stars Gabbi Garcia, Sue Ramirez, Ruru Madrid, Andrea Torres, and Baby Baste.

- Vic Sotto is reunited with Dawn Zulueta in Meant to Beh, where the two star as a completely opposite couple who try to (hilariously) work out their differences.

- Vice Ganda and Daniel Padilla also drew crowds for their movie, Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad, which was represented by a superhero-themed float.

- Siargao's Jasmine Curtis-Smith was all smiles as she waved to fans from the movie's surfing-inspired float.

- Jericho Rosales, Erich Gonzales, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith made waves together while riding the Siargao float with champion surfer Luke Landrigan.
- For Haunted Forest, these stars came out for the Parade of Stars (L-R): Fiona Yang, Jon Lucas, Maris Racal, Jane Oineza, Jameson Blake, and Kelvin Miranda.

As if to show that there is no bad blood between them, Coco Martin joined the float of Vice Ganda. The two have been rumored to have had problems because they have rival entries in MMFF 2017. However, the two stars have repeatedly said that they there is no issue between them.
