Angel Locsin bids goodbye to her character Jacintha in La Luna Sangre.
She posted a farewell message on Instagram after the episode aired yesterday, January 10.
The 32-year-old actress wrote, "'Hindi sa tala sa langit, kundi sa buwang nakasilip, ibigay ang hiling ng matang nakapikit...'
"Playing Jacintha is one hell of a ride. Sa lahat ng bumubuo ng La Luna Sangre, thank you for the countless hours you have been working hard away from your families to make this show great. I’ll miss you guys, swear. Please take good care of your health.
"And to everyone who supported the show, sending you, guys, virtual hugs and kisses of sincere pasasalamat! You are our source of strength during tough times. Thanks for giving us work for our families! Jacintha signing off... #GabiNgLaLunaSangre"
In the episode yesterday, which had the hashtag #GabiNgLaLunaSangre, Jacintha battled against the supreme vampire Sandrino, played by Richard Gutierrez.
She tried to stop Sandrino from biting Tristan (Daniel Padilla) so that the latter won't become a vampire.

However, Sandrino was able to bite Tristan, so Jacintha decided to kill Tristan by stabbing him in the chest.

Malia (Kathryn Bernardo) was surprised to see Tristan dead in the arms of Jacintha.

Sandrino came again but Jacintha grabbed him through her red cape and killed him.

When Jacintha returned to Malia, she only told her, "Tapos na. Tapos na," and suddenly disappeared, leaving her knife and red cape.

The episode received mixed reactions from viewers of the show. As of this writing, the hashtag #GabiNgLaLunaSangre, along with Malia and Tristan, became trending topics on Twitter Philippines.

ANGEL LOCSIN'S CONTROVERSIAL INCLUSION. It may be recalled that Angel was part of La Luna Sangre's pilot week when she played the role of Lia, her previous character in the show's prequel Imortal (2010). However, her character was killed at the end of the pilot week.
In September 2017, Angel returned to the series playing the new character Jacintha Magsaysay, a political analyst who was dubbed as the "lady in red."
Angel's return to the series sparked mixed reactions from audiences.
Some fans expressed worries that the KathNiel love team might be overshadowed in the series.
Angel assured fans that La Luna Sangre is still KathNiel's show, while Kathryn and Daniel defended the actress from bashers.
