Five-time Grammy Award winner Mariah Carey was impressed after watching Filipino internet sensations Aldrich Lloyd Talonding, 19, and James Walter Bucong, 23, sing one of her chart-topping hits.
On Glamour magazine's web show titled "You Sang My Song," she had the chance to watch the YouTube video of Aldrich and James's cover of Mariah's 1993 hit "Hero."
She fell in love with their rendition, and called it "amazing."
At one point, she remarked, "I'll be using that," referring to Aldrich's vocal technique.
The duo's cover was uploaded in February 2014, and has garnered over two million views at press time.
By the end of the performance, Mariah gave a bit of trivia about her signature song.
"It's interesting 'cause when I first wrote 'Hero,' I wasn't even writing it for myself.
"There is something special about it especially when you see such a wide range of people doing the song, different ages, different places in the world.
"It's really a nice feeling as a song writer."
Mariah continued, "I think a lot of the way people have done these covers and added their own unique choices to it, for me that's everything.
"And it's really nice to see."
