Having a fit and healthy body is one of the most important things that celebrities have to maintain.

This is why they're always on the lookout for the latest diet fads that could suit their fast-paced lifestyles.

While some swear by the South Beach Diet, Caveman’s Diet, or Cohen Diet, Kapuso actress Max Collins opted for the Vegetarian diet.

Max tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that she’s been a vegetarian for ten months now.

She first tried being a lacto-vegetarian, which according to about.com, “describes a vegetarian who does not eat eggs, but does eat dairy products” with fruits and vegetables.

But after a few months, the 20-year-old actress shifted from a lacto-vegetarian to a pescetarian diet.

When a person is undergoing a pescetarian diet, according to about.com, he/she “abstains from eating all meat and animal flesh with the exception of fish” and other seafood, together with fruits and vegetables.

Aside from maintaining a fit physique, Max has another reason why she chose to follow this particular diet.

“Kasi I get hyper sometimes with meat,” she reveals.

“Noong una po mahirap, mahirap talaga [yung diet] kasi naging weak ako.

“But then, the upside to it is naging mas calm ako.”

So, to prevent her feeling weak, especially that she’s required to work longer hours, Max takes “supplements— I take vegan protein, and then veggie meat, tofu, tofu egg, dairy, so that kind of compensates.”

Remember, diet plans work in different ways, depending on your body type and needs. Better evaluate yourself first or better yet, consult a doctor to find out which diet plan really works for you.
