Ogie Alcasid's ex-wife Michelle Van Eimeren was present during Regine Velasquez's first ASAP show in Sydney, Australia.
During the October 21 show, Regine was officially welcomed as a Kapamilya and as part of ASAP.
Ogie mentioned that Michelle was present that day to watch the show. Michelle was accompanied by her husband Mark Morrow.
He said, "Alam niyo naman na itong Sydney ay pangalawang tahanan ko, may pamilya rin ako dito, andiyan sila Michelle."
Today, October 22, Ogie posted a photo with Regine, Leila, and Michelle.
He wrote, "See you at Christmas Shelley with @mark.morrow68 and @sarahalcasid @michellevaneimeren #family"
The stars of ASAP are currently on their way back to the Philippines.
Even before the episode aired on Philippine television, those who watched the Sydney show live posted videos online.
One of the videos showed Regine's first ASAP performance as a Kapamilya.
EXCITED TO BE A KAPAMILYA
During the performance, Regine sang her 2001 hit song "Dadalhin."
Ogie then joined her onstage and they sang a duet of Regine's "Pangako."
After the duet, Piolo Pascual and Gary Valenciano entered the stage to do their spiels.
Piolo told Regine, "We're so very happy to see you again, Reg, here on the ASAP stage. Welcome back, Reg!"
Regine replied, "Hindi ako makapagsalita kasi baka umiyak na naman ako.
"Maraming maraming salamat po mga Kapamilya for welcoming me here again in ASAP. It's been a while and I'm so excited.
"Gary V, you don't know how excited I am to be performing with you again..."
She then looked at Piolo and told him, "...and to be looking at you."
Regine and Piolo were paired in romance-themed projects such as episodes of drama anthologies Habang May Buhay (2000) and Maalaala Mo Kaya (2001). They also top-billed the movie Paano Kita Iibigin (2007).
Ogie feigned jealousy and blurted out, "Sandali, sandali, ano ba?"
Regine corrected herself by saying, "To sing with you... sorry, sorry, to sing with you."
Asia's Songbird then turned serious and told Ogie, "But I love you, honey. Thank you.
"Gusto ko lang po sabihin na ang asawa ko, napaka-supportive. He's a wonderful person, he makes me laugh all the time.
"At kahit may Piolo Pascual ako dito sa kabila, ikaw pa rin ang mahal ko."
Gary then told Regine, "To be honest, nakaupo kami ni Piolo diyan sa side ng stage and parang noong bumirit ka na, Regine, which many people expect but the thing is when you do it, you do it excellently, e, all the time.
"So biglang tumingin ako kay Piolo, sabi ko, 'I can't believe she's actually here with us.'
"And we do want to thank you for being here."
Regine thanked her new bosses in ABS-CBN for giving her a warm welcome in the Kapamilya network.
"Nagpapasalamat din ako sa mga bago kong boss, si Tita Cory [Vidanes], gusto kong batiin, thank you thank you very much for giving me this opportunity.
"Si Direk Lauren [Dyogi] na nandito, binabantayan ata ako. So maraming maraming salamat.
"Kay Louie [Andrada], siyempre kay, ayoko siyang tawaging Sir Deo pero kay Deo [Endrinal], maraming maraming salamat. At siyempre si Sir Gabby [Lopez] at saka si Sir Carlo [Katigbak].
"Maraming marami pong salamat and I am happy and so excited to call myself now a Kapamilya. Kailangan ba mataas 'yon?"
She then shouted, "Kapamilya!!!!!"
Gary turned to Ogie and asked, "Kanina pa namin tinatanong si Regine o kinakausap dahil kasama mo na yung mga kapamilya mo dito sa Sydney.
"Bro, ikaw, what do you feel now that she's actually with us, with you?
"Parang it's a story na parang pampelikula na galing kayo sa kabila, dito kayo ngayon?"
Ogie answered, "Bago ko sagutin yang tanong mo Gary, gusto ko lang ipakilala po sa inyo ang bagong hashtag.
"Kasi may #JoshLia, may #KathNiel, kami po ay Ogie Regine, #OgRe po!
"Yan po ang bago namin, napakaganda, madaling tandaan, tandaan niyo lang po si Shrek, ayun na po yun!"
Gary then recalled, "Naalala ko lang, a few months ago, parang palabiro pa nga yung pagkasabi sa amin ni Ogie kay Martin Nievera.
"[Sabi niya,] 'Bro, what do you feel: ASAP, Regine?'
"Napatingin kaming dalawa ni Martin sa isa't isa because we thought you were joking.
"But now it's a reality and we're celebrating it, we're starting it here in Sydney. there's no better place to celebrate."
Ogie then said, "Alam niyo naman na itong Sydney ay pangalawang tahanan ko, may pamilya rin ako dito, andiyan sila Michelle, but I just want to say, wala po akong kinalaman sa pagpunta po ni Regine dito."
Regine then answered, "May disclaimer agad?!"
Ogie continued, "Nagpapasalamat lang po ako sa Panginoon pagkat siya po ang nagbigay ng daan na siya po ay maging kasama natin dito at maging tunay na Kapamilya.
"Bilang isang pinakamaliit mong tagahanga, I just want to say, Honey, I'm so proud of you, welcome to ABS-CBN. That's all."
Regine then ended the number by saying, "Maraming maraming salamat po uli and siyempre, ako, I am truly honored to be part of the ABS-CBN family and to call myself nga a Kapamilya artist."
