Bea Binene will co-star with Gelli de Belen and Ariel Rivera in the upcoming comedy film Ang Sikreto ng Piso.
The GMA-7 actress is cast as the daughter of Ariel and Gelli in this film directed by Perry Escano.
When PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked if she will be doing any teleseryes with GMA-7 in the future, she said no.
However, she pointed out that she is still doing a magalize lifestyle show for GMA News.
Bea candidly talked about her career during the presscon of Ang Sikreto ng Piso held earlier today, January 19, at the Palm Grill restaurant at Tomas Morato, Quezon City.
This comedy film produced by JPP Dreamworld Productions and MPJ Entertainment Productions will open in cinemas starting January 30, 2019.
Is she content with the pace of her career now?
"I'm contented, yes. Happy ako kasi maayos ang health ng pamilya ko. Happy ako kasi ang dami kong nagagawa. Happy ako kasi kahit papaano, may trabaho ako.
"Pero kahit na po siguro sa GMA, we hope for something better.
"I will always be grateful to GMA. Kung anuman ang ibigay nila, alam ko pinagiisipan talaga nila. Alam ko pag binigay nila, para sa akin talaga yun."
When asked to clarify what she means by "something better," the Kapuso actress answered, "Wala naman pong something specific.
"Ayoko naman pong humingi ng something specific.
"Pero siguro, I would love to see yung pag-appreciate sa loyalty."
She then quickly added, "Wala po akong pinapatamaan! Nagpapasalamat po ako sa GMA.
"Ang tagal ko na sa GMA. I've been with GMA for 15 years na.
"Dito na ko lumaki. Dito na ko pumayat at tumaba. Dito na nag-dalaga. Dito na ako yumaman at humirap.
"Ang tagal na ng partnership namin ni GMA. Bittersweet journey talaga kami ni GMA."
When PEP asked if she is thinking about switching networks, she answered:
"May kontrata po, e. Lagi kong sinasabi na wala po ako ngayon kung hindi dahil sa GMA.
"I would always be grateful to GMA and I know things happen for a reason."
"Okay rin na hindi ako masyadong active at visible sa TV kasi marami akong nagagawa sa labas. Nakakapag-business ako, nakakapag-aral ako.
"Iniisip ko na ito ang binigay ni Lord. Siguro gusto ni Lord na mag venture out ako."
Did she ever send feelers to rival networks regarding a network transfer?
"Ay, hindi po.
"Happy naman po ako sa GMA."
Does she feel that GMA rewards her loyalty?
"I know they know that I've been here for a long time.
"Ang dami ko na ring tito at tita sa GMA na nakita na nila akong lumaki sa GMA."
Does she herself transferring to another network?
"Ayoko pong magsalita ng tapos. Pero siyempre, tumatagal nang tumatagal, kailangan natin ng trabaho.
"Pero ayoko pa isipin kasi wala pa tayo dun."
Is she open to working with her ex-boyfriend Jhake Vargas in the future?
"Oo naman!" she said with a smile.
"Why not, di ba? Dun ko na-realize na nagma-mature ka na.
"Kasi noon...pero ngayon, okay lang."
PEP asked if she would have agreed in the past if she received an offer to work with her ex-boyfriend.
She pointed out, "Noon, weird po. Parang ngayon, ang dami namang ganun."
In 2013, Bea and Jhake broke up amidst rumors of a third party.
Would she agree to do a project with Jhake and his new flame Inah Estrada?
"Siyempre, ayokong magsalita on behalf of them pero ako, okay po."
How did she get past the awkwardness with her ex?
"Paano ko nalampasan yun? Wala, e. Acceptance," she said with a smile.
She then quipped, "Kumain. Nag-business. Nag-aral."
The 21-year-old actress admitted that her past relationship helped mold her as a person.
"Kasi yung mha nangyari noon, inayos niya, na-shape ako to be who I am today."
Does she bump into Jhake at the GMA Network compound?
"Opo pero hindi po madalas."
