A host of It's Showtime performed the theme song of rival show Eat Bulaga at the U.P. Fair.
Teddy Corpus, the lead vocalist of the band Rocksteddy, entertained concertgoers at the Sunken Garden of the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
The band was part of the February 15 lineup of the U.P. Fair. They got to perform onstage at around 1 a.m. on February 16.
Halfway through their set, the band performed the theme song of It's Showtime.
Teddy serves as one of the co-hosts of the ABS-CBN noontime show.
Afterwards, Teddy asked the crowd if they had any song requests for them to perform that night.
After listening to crowd suggestions, the Rocksteddy band suddenly performed the Eat Bulaga theme song.
"Sina Tito Vic at Joey," sang Teddy as the crowd cheered.
Eat Bulaga is GMA-7's noontime show that is the direct competitor of Showtime.
"Gago 'tong mga 'to," said Teddy with a laugh regarding the suggestion of the crowd.
"Lahat naman kami nanood kami ng Eat Bulaga. May Eat Bulaga na dati, di ba? Eat Bulaga rin ang pinapanood namin dati. Wala pa naman ang Showtime dati," said Teddy about the longest running noontime show in the Philippines.
"Okay na kayo dun? Masaya na kayo dun?" Teddy asked the crowd.
After a few minutes, he sang out loud: "Wowowee sinong di mawiwili..."
The crowd laughed as Teddy performed a few lines of the GMA-7 game show Wowowee that is hosted by Willie Revillame.
As part of its set, Rocksteddy revved up the crowd with its rendition of "Pare Ko."
"Para sa mga babaeng nandededma sa mga lalaki!" said the vocalist to introduce their next song.
Teddy then performed "Deadma," as the crowd sang along to the lyrics: "Mahal kita pero di mo lang alam..."
The U.P. Fair ended before 2 a.m.
