After spending several weeks as a housemate of Pinoy Big Brother Otso, Tori Garcia defended the ABS-CBN reality show against those branding it as "scripted."
PBB Otso ex-housemate Tori talked about her experiences inside Bahay ni Kuya during the livestreaming segment shown in the Facebook page of PBB.
Tori chatted with former PBB 737 housemate Dawn Chang in between gaps of the February 19 episode of PBB Otso.
They spent some time reading comments from netizens and someone commented "scripted."
In response, Tori stressed that PBB is not scripted.
She cited the case of Lou Yanong and Andre Brouillette, two housemates who developed feelings for each other while inside the PBB house.
Viewers have dubbed them as the Loudre love team.
"Loudre is real po talaga, promise," said Tori who witnessed the blossoming romance between Lou and Andre.
She recalled that when Andre asked her if Lou was interested in him, Tori simply encouraged the guy to pursue Lou.
"Hindi ko naman tinuruan si Andre kung anong sasabihin. Sinabi ko lang na 'Go!'"
Dawn also pointed out that up to now, there has not been any housemate who has denounced the reality show as being scripted.
She said it would be very difficult for housemates to follow a given script.
Dawn then challenged livestreaming viewers by saying, "Try niyo."
Tori, the housemate dubbed as the Bombshell Sweetie ng Singapore, was evicted last weekend.
The aspiring actress only earned 26.02% of the public votes, much lower compared to housemates Wakim Regalado and Mark Obera, who got 38.25% and 35.73%, respectively.
Tori stayed in Camp Star Hunt before moving to the main house two weeks ago. She had a chance to prove herself this past week by being the leader of the weekly task, wherein they had to form a heart-shaped tower in the middle of the pool.
In Camp Star Hunt, one Star Dreamer got dismissed after being in the losing team for the third straight time. This was Patrick Bantecil, a dancer who has a disability.
In the past week, Patrick had to work towards a variety show to entertain the sick in a hospital. He was in the losing team team that also included Kin Franco, Shawntel Cruz, and Hanie Jarrar.
The winning team, meanwhile, was composed of Camille Sandel, Kim Franco, Thea Rizaldo, and JC Gamez. Of the four, Big Brother chose JC Gamez to be upgraded from Star Dreamer to an official housemate, because he has proven that he is a team player.
JC was raised in Italy by his Filipino parents. Dubbed the Mucho Raketero of Rome, he is an Economics student who has joined several male pageants.
Lastly, Big Brother introduced two new Star Dreamers to fill in the gap left by Patrick and JC.
The first one is Lyndon Oros, a 22-year-old teacher from Quezon City. He takes pride in being able to teach his father, who was unable to read or write in the past. Lyndon is dubbed as the Gu-Role Model ng Quezon City.
The second new Star Dreamer is Mary Grace Abrugar, a 23-year-old aspiring model dubbed the Faithful Sur-Babe-Vor of Pampanga.
The Miss Filipinas 2014 (Visayas) beauty became known to the public when she and her boyfriend were involved in a vehicular accident. The accident left them scarred and almost prevented them from pursuing their careers as models. Their story was featured in Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) last year.
LOU AND ANDRE GO ON A DATE
Andre was able to successfully complete a task given by Big Brother. It involved writing a letter in Tagalog that would express his feelings.
Upon completing the task, he was able to receive the ingredients and decorations needed to set up a romantic dinner date in the pool area.
Andre cooked a steak and asparagus dinner for Lou while the girls kept her distracted in their bedroom.
"It's a date!" exclaimed Lou upon seeing the lengths that Andre went through for their intimate night.
Andre told her that she was the first girl that he cooked a steak dinner for. He gave her a stuffed teddy bear that they named Boba after tapioca balls.
"I like you! I'm just gonna shout it!" Andre confessed to Lou that night.
"I like you too," said Lou in response.
They ended up dancing sweetly before telling the other housemates that they admitted their feelings for each other.
In the boys' bedroom, Andre told the guys: "I've never felt this way before. It's definitely a new experience."
Lou also said the same thing inside the girls' bedroom. "I've never felt this way before," she said with a smile.
The following morning, Andre assured Lou by telling her, "I want you to know that I was honest about everything."
