A mini-reunion was recently hosted by Dawn Zulueta for the many co-hosts of GMA Supershow by the late starmaker German “Kuya Germs” Moreno.

This got us waxing nostalgic.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) looks back at some of the TV show’s hosts who went on to become household names as actresses and singers.

GRETCHEN BARRETTO

Apart from being a GMA Supershow host, Gretchen Barretto was a movie actress. She was able to do several sexy films, and was tagged as one of the "ST Queens" along with Rita Avila, Cristina Gonzales, and Rina Reyes.

Gretchen also served as witness to the controversial 1994 Manila Film Fest scandal.

She was a host of the short-lived late-night talk show, Show & Tell, along with Boy Abunda. She had to leave the show when she got pregnant with her eldest child, Dominique Cojuangco. She then took a hiatus from doing TV assignments and films, except for occasional guest appearances in TV shows.
