Sophie Albert will be seen again in a new teleserye after her much-applauded performance in GMA-7's prime-time series, Pamilya Roces.
She will play a kontrabida in the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series, Stolen.
Sophie can be seen in the teaser of the series that is also top-billed by Max Collins and Jason Abalos.
Also part of the cast are Mark Herras and Neil Ryan Sese.
This means that Sophie officially replaces Kapuso star Kim Domingo who backed out of the role.
In November 2018, the show was titled Ganti when it had its story conference. Back then, Kim was announced as part of the cast.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) reported in December 2018, through its Cabinet Files column, that Kim backed out of the role.
According to the Cabinet Files article, Kim backed out of the role because it required her to do sensual scenes.
At that time, Sophie just wrapped up taping for Pamilya Roces.
This is not the first time that Sophie will replace a Kapuso actress who backed out of a show.
In Pamilya Roces, Sophie's role was supposed to be portrayed by Winwyn Marquez. However, the latter backed out of the show because of the daring scenes required for her character.
Stolen is expected to air this March on GMA-7's afternoon block.
This project is Sophie's fourth GMA-7 teleserye after transferring from ABS-CBN in 2017.
Her other Kapuso soaps include: The One That Got Away, Sherlock Jr., and Pamilya Roces.
Prior to working in GMA-7 and ABS-CBN, Sophie won TV5's artista search, Artista Academy.
