During the Gabi ng Parangal of the 56th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts & Sciences, Marian Rivera arrived at the Manila Hotel using crutches to help her walk so she could accept the German Moreno Achievement Award, an honor that she shared with Ryan Agoncillo.
The 2007 Metro Manila Film Fest entry Katas ng Saudi bagged three major awards (Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Actress) while the indie film Ataul for Rent also took home three prizes (Best Supporting Actress, Best Story, and Best Screenplay).
