The 8th edition of Cinemalaya will feature a retrospective on Mario O'Hara. The veteran director died on June 26, 2012.
Twenty-five new digital films will compete in the 2012 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, July 20-29. The entries will be screened at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Greenbelt 3 in Makati City, and Trinoma, Quezon City.
