A new dramatic combination beckons with Maalaala Mo Kaya's episode this Saturday on ABS-CBN.
Alessandra de Rossi and one of the country's most underrated actors, Romnick Sarmenta, team up for a drama fest that will glue everyone to their seats. They will bring life to the story of a couple from Bicol bested by trials which ultimately reversed their lives.
Alessandra plays Nellie, a young wife who is forced to become a pedicab driver after her husband Tobias (Romnick) meets an accident. Stuck in what is deemed to be a man's world, she is ridiculed, mocked but she struggles to make her new life work and her family to remain stable.
Alessandra's career has indeed flourished even more after she transferred to the Kapamilya network. Her role as Greta in Tayong Dalawa is earning accolades and her return to MMK is a worthy appearance as she shows more of her skills as a true artist.
Meanwhile, Romnick is starting to appear once again in ABS-CBN shows. Incidentally, it was also Romnick who starred in the first-ever MMK episode almost 17 years ago ("Tsinelas" episode).
