Live na humarap si Nadia Montenegro sa Showbiz Central via the "Gimme Mo!" segment ni Mo Twister. Halatang hindi pa siya fully recovered from her eye operation dahil ayon dito, may tali pa raw ang kanyang left eye. Pero willing naman siyang maupo sa SC nitong nakaraang Linggo, April 5, para magpa-interview sa radio and TV personality.
At first, kinamusta muna ni Mo ang mata ni Nadia na ayon sa unang findings ay medically blind na sana siya kung hindi ito naagapan.
"I can see now," nakangiting pahayag ni Nadia. "It's a miracle. I was medically blind because 70% of my retina was torn but because of my Doctor Naval, now I can see. After three surgery [operations], I can see."
Namamaga ba ‘yan? "Yeah, kasi, two weeks pa lang ang surgery ko, so yung last surgery ko, two Thursdays ago, may tahi pa. But it's gonna be the same."
Most Wanted Question #5: Natatakot ka bang magkaroon ng maagang pamilya si Ynna Asistio dahil nagiging strict ka?
"No, that's not true. In the first place, I always pat myself on the back whenever I see my kids because I think, if there's one thing that I did right, it's raising my children. And my daughter is 17. I met her dad at 16. So, I know, nalampasan na at wala akong dapat katakutan because I trust my kids so much."
Pero noong ma-link si Ynna kay Mark Herras, of course, Mark as a friend is a nice guy but as a boyfriend, could scare a couple of moms kasi, nali-link siya palagi sa iba't-ibang girls...
"Ninerbiyos ako, ninerbiyos ako," pag-amin ni Nadia. "But when I set the rules and when I talked to him heart-to-heart, I took his word and I'm not scared of him. Hindi ako nagduda sa kanya and I love the guy to death. So far, wala akong masabi sa taong yun."
So, if there's a future between Mark and Ynna, okey lang sa ‘yo?
"If there's one thing that I'm sure, they will really be best friends, no matter what."
Most Wanted Question #4: Nagkaroon na ba ng dahilan para magduda sa ‘yo ang asawa mo?
"In any relationship. I think, it's just normal especially kapag may dinadaanan kayong problemang mag-asawa, but I'm sure, after 20 years together and going strong and still happy together, I believe that nothing can ever get in between us. And Boy has also tested my trust sa kanya, 'di ba?
"Ang importante siguro is kung paano kami magkasama araw-araw. You know, guys will always pass by, beautiful women will always pass by but it's the heart."
How do you feel kapag iniintriga ang relationship n'yo ng ibang tao?
"Alam n'yo kung ibang tao, okey lang, pero kung yung isang tao lang na yun, huwag na, okey lang."
But, it does affect you and your family enough to make you very angry?
"Of course...alam mo Mo, there are some issues na umiikot pa rin ang bituka ko at isa ‘yan..."
Most Wanted Question # 3: Sa isang interview, sinabi ni Gretchen Barretto na mamahalin ka raw kahit na anong mangyari. Pero the last time na nagkausap kayo, it's just a quick hello. Sa tingin mo ba, sincere si Gretchen nang sabihin niyang mahal ka niya?
"First and foremost, hindi lang hello. I want to clarify that. She said, 'Hi Nadj' and I said, 'who's this?' She said, 'Gretch.' She says, 'how are you?' I said, 'I'm good.' How are you and she said, she's okay. Then, she said, how's your eye? I said, 'I'm fine, I'm healing.' And then, she said, 'please let me know when the next operation is' at sabi ko, okey."
So, it could not have been a joke na hi and then, ibaba na niya?
"Honestly, I want to thank her for the effort. Honestly, I wouldn't know how to do the first move. Because given the chance, wala na kaming number ng isa't-isa."
And she could not have been plastic.. Kasi, yung plastic, hi and hello lang... the fact that she's asking with your eyes...
"Yes, and the fact that she was in front of our two good friends, Pops [Fernandez] and BB [Gandanghari]. So, I don't think she was plastic."
So, is this the first step? Ready na ba kayong mag-reconcile?
"I always said, basta kaming dalawa, siguradong maaayos."
May sama ng loob ka pa rin ba until now kay Gretchen, kahit konti?
"Yes, meron...kasi gusto ko, kapag nagkaharap kami at nagkausap kami, gusto ko talaga, one on one, lahat ng nangyari. Lahat ng pinaniwalaan niya na hindi totoo. Lahat ng hinanakit namin sa isa't-isa because if there's one thing...kung magkakaayos ulit kami, ayoko ng maramdaman ulit yung ganitong pain."
What hurts you most about her?
"Being called the most untrustworthy friend...Being yung ako ang itinuro na nagkakalat daw ng mga tsismis sa kanya na hindi ko kayang gawin sa isang kaibigan. At lalung-lalo na yung paniwalaan niya yung taong walang kredibilidad kesa sa akin."
Most Wanted Question # 2: Can you truthfully say that your friends can still trust you with their secrets?
"Oh yes! With all their lives...ang dami Mo, ang dami kong kaibigan na nangyari sa buhay ng mga kaibigan ko na ako lang ang nakakaalam at alam nilang it will stay that way. Alam nila yun. And I will not let two simple incidents na pinagduduhan ako to ruin the trust. And I'm sure, the people who really know me understand what I'm trying to say."
Do you trust your friends? "Oh yeah, may mga naliligaw lang..."
Can you still trust Gretchen again with secrets?
"She knows all my secrets. You know, it's not the trust anymore. It's more on, kung nakakatulog ka kapag nakasakit ka ng isang tao."
Do you feel bad kapag sinasabi nilang dati you're such a big star, now, you're almost a friend of the star?
"Oh no, I don't really mind. When I stopped showbiz, I stopped working but I did not stop the friendsip. And my heart never stopped loving this world. So, being called as friend of the star is okay, that makes me a star on my own."
Most Wanted Question # 1: Napagod ka na bang ipaglaban ang iba?
"Oo, yeah...which reminds me, my best friend Lot is watching. ‘Pag yun nakikita kong umiiyak na, alam ko, may mali na naman sa ginagawa ko. Yeah, sometimes I do ask," pahayag ni Nadia kunsaan, hindi na niya napigilang maging emosyunal at mapaiyak.
"Bakit kapag laban ko na, mag-isa ko? But again, I think, it's my responsibility. I don't know Mo, sometimes I think, I need to see a psychiatrist sometimes. I don't know, maybe I'm looking for something that I can't find. But when I do, I try to hug my friends and fight for them, it always feel right.
"But when it hurts my family na, my kids na...that's the time that Boy [Asistio, her husband] would tell me na, unahin mo naman kami. And that, I know, I'm doing something wrong. Pero sana lang, ma-realize rin ng friends ko yun. Na...sometimes, I'm not superwoman all the time because they always think I am. But, I'll never be tired of giving."
Kahit feeling mo, hindi na worth it ipaglaban sila?
"May isang laban ako noon na feeling ko, hindi na worth it. But I believe, I won the battle with my head up high."
If you don't mind, which one are you talking about?
"With Cristy [Fermin] and Rose Flaminiano for Gabby [Concepcion]."
And for Mo's last question, tinanong niya kung sino raw ang mga dumamay kay Nadia nang maoperahan ito?
"Well, ang dumamay sa akin, dumalaw sa hospital, my God, halos araw-araw, may dumadalaw sa akin. And now that I can't drive pa, before kasi kahit saan mo ko yayain, puwede ako, pero maraming dumamay sa akin. Everybody's there."
