"Sinasabi ko sa kanila na dapat sa mga performace na ganito, dapat we should do a capellas, beatboxing. We should show na we're versatile as a group," says Guji Lorenza (right) about what he and group VOIZboys do to be different from other all-male singing group. Other members of the group are (from left) Jay-R Siaboc, Tom Rodriguez, and Nico Antonio.

The members of VOIZboys didn't initially think they would have their own record album when they were launched in ASAP last year. So, launching their debut album Fusion was a bonus to their regular appearance on ABS-CBN's Sunday variety show.

"Not in the beginning," said one of the members Guji Lorenzana. "I remember sabi nila, 'Let's see what goes in ASAP. Kung may recall and following, sige, try natin.' We got lucky. People started following us, following the group."

The all-male singing group, composed of Guji, Jay-R Siaboc, Nico Antonio, and Tom Rodriguez (who replaced one of the original members Ronnie Liang), offer a 10-track album, which is released under Quantum Records and distributed by Star Records.

Fusion has six group songs and four solo numbers—seven of which are originals while three are revivals. It also includes two new Vehnee Saturno compositions, "Sinta" and "Kakaiba Ka." Also in the album are Joven Tan's "Todo Na," Tom's solo "Pwede Na," Yugel Losorata's "Stop The World," Lucien Letaba's "Anghel Ko," and Jojo Panaligan's "In Love Again."

The album also has "You and Me" and "Maria Clara" of Mon Villanueva of The Rainmakers, and a song by Louie Ocampo, and Ogie Alcasid "Sana'y Malaman Mo."

VOIZboys members have different music preferences—-Guji and Jay-R are into rock, Nico is into ballads, and Tom is into pop. However, this didn't become a a hindrance in performing as a group. In fact, they all work together to come up with something new to offer to their followers.

Guji said, "We really want to work, we really want to show na we have talent, we could sing. Kaya sinasabi ko sa kanila na dapat sa mga performance na ganito, dapat we should do acapellas, beatboxing. We should show na we're versatile as a group."

Jay-R also mentioned he and his co-singers help each other out to make improvements in the group.
