A few minutes with the lovely ladies of Q Channel 11's The Sweet Life—host Lucy Torres-Gomez and Wilma Doesnt, and roving reporter Grace Lee—and you immediately get an idea of how their show has managed to stay successful in the ultra-competitive TV scene.

The three ladies are not just lovely to look at, they also have very interesting personalities and they obviously enjoy being around each other. You get the sense from these women that life can really be so sweet, given the right attitude.

NICE GIRLS FINISH FIRST.
Soft-spoken Lucy—the ultimate nice girl—would be the first to say that she is no pushover. "I just choose my battles," she told the press during a visit to the set of The Sweet Life. "I know when to fight for what I believe is right and I know when to just let some things go."

She is also a big believer in the things that The Sweet Life tries to impart: all the great, sensible, fun things about living in style, including tips and the latest info on topics such as home decorating, fashion, entertainment, hobbies, leisure, and travel in an effort to help viewers get more out of life.

"And Lucy really loves doing all the crafts that we feature on the show," Wilma volunteered. The same way Wilma is exactly as wacky off-cam as she is on-cam. "What I love about Wilma is that she is a truly happy person," Lucy said.

"Lucy and Wilma are very admirable women," Grace Lee shared. "I see them on the set and I know how much they care about their children and they make sure they have time for them. To be able to do all the things they do and still be great, wonderful moms, that's something."

NEW THINGS IN STORE. March marked The Sweet Life's second anniversary and the show celebrated in style. TSL's week-long anniversary celebration featured some of the biggest names in the industry—primetime TV's "Totoy Bato" Robin Padilla, Concert King Martin Nievera, singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, and one of the country's hottest starts today, Marian Rivera.

It is truly sweet to look back at the show's successes, first of which is the 2007 recognition as one of the finalists of the 21st Star Awards for Television for Best Celebrity Talk Show and Celebrity Talk Show Host.

The following year, TSL won two more awards: CMMA's (Catholic Mass Media Awards) Best Talk Show, shared with GMA-7's Mel and Joey, and Gawad Tanglaw's (Gawad Tagapuring mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw) Best Lifestyle Show. This year, the lifestyle talk show bagged a Finalist Certificate in the 2009 New York Festivals.

Now on its third year, Q Channel 11's The Sweet Life has more new things in store for its viewers: a brand-new, gorgeous set, new title card (T card), and opening billboard (OBB). The show will also have a new segment called "The Gift Room," which will show Lucy wrapping gifts and giving them to the show's guests and friends.

Life is truly sweeter with The Sweet Life! Catch it Mondays to Fridays at 5:00pm, only on Q Channel 11.
