The Sipat Lawin Ensemble brings to life two Palanca-award winning plays in celebration of Philippine High School for the Arts' 30th anniversary.
The twin-bill presentation Six Degrees will take place on May 11, 12 and 13 at the Tanghalang Batute of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. It will feature Liza Magtoto's Agnoia and George de Jesus III's Sala Sa Pito.
Agnoia won first place in the full-length play
(Filipino) category of the 2002 Don
Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature while Sala Sa Pito was
heralded as second place. Liza
Magtoto's play is based on Eli Guieb III's Horoscope, a modern and
unconventional story told like a weekly horoscope.
The Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature was established in 1950 in honor of Don Carlos Palanca, Sr., a self-educated businessman and patron of educational institutions.
Tickets are sold at P200 (regular) and P150 (student price). For inquiries, please call 09156284277.
