Following the success of the heartwarming teleserye May Bukas Pa, the show will bring its star Zaijian Jaranilla (who plays Santino on the show)
The child star signed a contract with Star Records last week for an inspirational album. According to Star Records managing director Annabelle Regalado-Borja, the songs in the album will include tracks that are being played on the ABS-CBN primetime show.
Zaijian, who is celebrating his 8th birthday this month, said he was happy to sign a contract with ABS-CBN's record label. And just like in the teleserye May Bukas Pa, the young boy will also be working with Bro (a name he uses to call God in the TV series).
"Kaming dalawa po ni Bro [dito sa album]. Magkukwento kaming dalawa ni Bro kung paano maging mabait, paano mag-pray, at paano maging masunurin," described Zaijian.
On the other hand, 13th World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) winner Rhap Salazar also signed a contract with the same record label for his first solo album.
The WCOPA Junior Grand Champion Solo Vocalist of the World and Junior Grand Champion Performer of the World will be recording some of the Jackson 5 hits. The lineup has yet to be selected by Star Records.
""First solo album ko po!" Rhap excitedly told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview recently.
The young singer said that he would make sure to have fun while doing his first solo album. Also, he dedicated the album to the fans who have given him their full support.
