Singer and stage actor Marvin Ong will hold a benefit concert at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan this coming Saturday, April 2.

The show, titled Beginnings, will benefit the scholars of Lingkod ng Potrero Foundation, Inc.

Joining Marvin for the evening are the all-girl group, Pop Girls, and singer, Rachelle Ann Go.

Marvin is experienced when it comes to the world of performing, having appeared on stage plays like the Ateneo de Manila-produced High School Musical (2006), Sister Act (2007), and Bat Boy (2008).

He was also seen in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (1998) and Mr. Noah's Big Boat (2004).

Marvin's biggest stage project to date, however, was in 2009 when he bagged the role of Tobias in the musical Sweeney Todd under the production of Repertory Philippines.

Beginnings represents the start of bigger things for Marvin this year. The Atenean performed the official theme song of TV5's primetime drama series Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak titled "Init sa Magdamag."
