The "Houseband" was the first to go.
The
lowest number of text votes from televiewers sent Jimson "Jim" Ortega
packing his bags and heading out of Kuya's house on the first eviction night of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up aired last Saturday, October
24.
"'Yung
experience talaga, talagang sobra," said the housemate who hails from
Spain.
"Siyempre,
kakaiba ‘yun, Jim, kasi kasama mo ang asawa mo," said PBB Double UP host Toni before asking, "How is it different for you?"
"Mahirap
The
25-year-old got 10.2 percent of the total number of televiewers'
text votes, compared to his co-nominees: "Sassy Vamp ng Cebu" Princess
Manzon, who got 18.79 percent; "Conservative Pharmacist ng Tondo"
Carol Batay, who received 24.16 percent; and "Boy Astig ng Mindoro"
Jason Francisco, who garnered the highest number at 46.85 percent.
Jimson's only son and his mom welcomed him as soon as he returned to the
outside world. While carrying his son, who clung to him tightly, he
was presented with a video that highlighted his special moments inside the house.
When
given the chance to convey his final message to his wife and fellow
housemate Kathleen "Kath" Lopena-Ortega, all Jim could utter was
a short, straight-to-the-point, "I love you, honey."
Already in tears, Kath replied, "I
love you, too."
During
the revelation proper, Princess was the first housemate declared to be safe, followed by
Carol, who couldn't help but cry at the thought of having been
nominated since last week. Loud rounds of applause reverberated inside
the house as Jason's extended stay was revealed.
As
for evictee Jim, his constant arguing with Kath was highlighted as one
probable reason for his possible exit before it finally became official.
A fast farewell, coupled with one last kiss, was Jim's reassurance to his wife that everything was going to be all right.
‘TAKFAN MO' NAKED DANCE. Prior to the announcement of this Season's first evictee, performances of the controversial weekly task, which all housemates prepared for in weeklong grueling rehearsals and emotional decisions, opened last Saturday's episode.
House
A's presentation came first, and those in House B noticed that their
neighbors opted to wear T-back (in reality, plaster covers and body
paint modified the group's outfits).
"Nabawasan
ng 165 points ang inyong base points. Nakakuha kayo ng 185 points,"
Kuya proclaimed, to the delight of the winning group.
"I'm
proud of my team. Sobrang relieved po ako na... I think my decision
paid off because I worked it... a gamble for me, so masayang masaya
po ako," Richard "Rica" Paras, who suggested what they would actually wear during the performance, thereby spelling success for their team.
Melissa "Melai" Cantiveros stated in her own
comical style: "I'm so very happy po... We deserve to win!"
When
they were shown their performance, it seemed that the House B housemates
enjoyed what they did. However, this was not enough for them to win the challenge.
"Galing
that (of having their smileys seen too many times). Nabawasan kayo ng
1,230 points. Nakakuha kayo ng 1,130 points," Big Brother announced,
to the dismay of the House B housemates. "Ikinalulungkot kong sabihin
"Romantic
Stud ng Samar" Bartolome Alberto "Tom" Mott remarked: "Kasi
‘yung sinasabi nila, yung paint. Hindi tayo nagtanong. Next time
sinasabi, ‘Ay, bakit yung kabilang group ganyan? Bakit ‘yung kabilang group ganyan?" Kath said.
unang unang iniisip natin lagi is lagi tayong talo," Marielle "Mariel"
Sorino observed. "Loser tayo, eh.
Tom
spoke of the lesson their team learned: "Sometimes ‘yung pinakamadaling
way ay mas mahirap, and at the same time, kailangan magtiwala rin kami
di ba, may rason, that's either for the betterment of one of us
or the whole group."
During
the episode, Toni checked on some of the housemates and asked their
sentiments on the "takfan" challenge. She talked first to "Negosyante Prince ng Cebu" Paul Jake
Castillo from House A.
"Nakita
ko talaga yung determinasyon mo na manalo at pinili mo talaga mag-all
the way.
weekly task?
"Ayaw
naming magutom at ayaw naming mag-sacrifice," Paul Jake replied.
"Maliban
Toni asked Cathy. The latter replied, "Ahhh... (laughs)
Addressing
all the House B housemates, Toni bombarded them with questions after questions:
"Bakit ba gano'n, natalo kayong muli sa inyong weekly task? Ano
ba ang nangyari? Sino ba ang dapat sisihin? Kulang ba sa teamwork?"
"Well, masaya naman po kami sa nangyari...," Patria answered, as Toni pointed out, "Oo, masaya nga kayo, pero hindi naman masaya si Kuya sa resulta
ng weekly task, bakit kaya ganon?"
"Kasi
continued Patria.
The
female host then asked Hermes Eugene "Hermes" Bautista, "Ikaw ba, nalubos
Paano?"
Hermes
responded, "Opo. Parang, kung last day man po nila, isa sa kanila,
parang memorable talaga yung last day namin."
