For the first time in the history of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up, there will be five housemates who will battle it out in the Big Night instead of the usual four.
Unfortunately, La Senora ng Espana Kath Lopena-Ortega will not get the chance to join the Big Night since she was evicted in the January 30 episode of PBB Double Up.
After tallying the votes to save and the votes to evict, Kath received the only negative score among the five nominated housemates. Her score of -0.38 got her eliminated from the reality show.
Her husband Jimson, also a former housemate, welcomed Kath back to the outside world.
When she was interviewed by PBB Double Up host Toni Gonzaga, Kath said that her personality was somewhat changed while living inside the PBB house for almost 3 months. "Sobrang natuto ako...nakilala ko ang mga Pinoy. Natuto akong makisama at ang pasensiya ko naging mas mahaba," said Kath.
Melissa "Melai" Cantiveros got the highest percentage of the votes with 20.81, Jason Francisco got 18.59 percent, Paul Jake Castillo received 17.90 percent, while Johan Santos got 7.39 percent of the votes.
Last night's episode also showed the final task of Kuya's Darlings, namely Rica Paras, Princess Manzon and Yuri Okawa. Adter making a big scene that ended with Princess falling into the swimming pool. The housemates thought that she got her lapel mic wet, which is a big violation of the PBB house rules. However, Kuya's Darlings just revealed that they were all just acting and that they did not really mean to say nasty things about the housemates.
Aside from sharing in the P150,000 pot money of the Resbak Attack team, each member of Kuya's Darlings will be able to take home P10,000. They will also take home a laptop because they fulfilled the final task of Big Brother, which is to hide the most precious possession of the housemates.
The finale of PBB Double Up will take place at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium on February 13, 2010. This means that the six remaining housemates just have two more weeks to show viewers why they deserve to win in ABS-CBN's reality show.
It was also revealed that PBB Double Up is the longest edition of the franchise here in the Philippines since it will last for 19 weeks.
