ANC will mount 17-hour coverage of President Noynoy Aquino's inauguration

ANC's coverage of the inauguration of President Noynoy Aquino will begin airing at 7 a.m. on June 30, 2010.

Last May 10, 2010, Filipinos voted for a new President through the first automated elections. On June 8, the National Board of Canvassers declared that Senator Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III and Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay are the country's new President and Vice-President, respectively.

This Wednesday, June 30, the inauguration of the 15th President of the Republic of the Philippines will finally take place.


ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel, promises to provide 17-hour straight coverage of this historic inauguration.


Its day-long coverage will begin at the Aquinos' residence at Times St. in Quezon City and will continue with his much-awaited first meeting with outgoing President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at the Malacañang Palace, the inauguration proper at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila, and finally, the street party at the Quezon City Memorial Circle in Quezon City.


Anchored by seasoned broadcasters, ANC's coverage of the Aquino Inaugural will also include analyses and insights from experts, as well as trivia and fast facts on the historic occasion.
