Looking radiant in her all-white dress, Malaysian actress Carmen Soo is taking well to married life with Chinese husband Benson Tan.
"It's good. Actually, it feels the same as before," said Carmen. "Nothing much has changed, which I think is a good thing."
The two tied the knot in Bali, Indonesia on September 30, 2015.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and two other reporters caught up with Carmen at Soju bar in Sunway, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on July 15.
Carmen said she just finished taping the TV series The Hush, which is currently being aired in Singapore.
Asked what her husband thinks of her showbiz career, the 38-year-old actress/model shared that Benson understands the nature of her work.
"Yes, he's very supportive. He knows how much I love my job and how much I love working.
"I cannot be just at home and not do anything. I'll go crazy," she said.
At the time of this interview, Carmen was on a break—which enabled her to meet some friends from Manila during the after-party for Michelle Ayalde's album launch that same night in Soju.
"I think it's quite nice that I can actually schedule my work in such a way where I finish a project, then I can take a break and relax.
"Hopefully, that works out well.
"Sometimes everything is just clashed together. And whenever I get a break, I appreciate it."
JERICHO ROSALES. it can be recalled that Carmen topbilled the ABS-CBN primetime series Kahit Isang Saglit opposite Jericho Rosales in 2008.
Aside from other acting stints, she briefly co-hosted the now-defunct noontime show, Wowowee, back in 2010.
But even though it's been years since she had an active showbiz career in the Philippines, Carmen remains in touch with her Filipino friends.
In fact, she attended the Star Magic ball with her then-fiance Benson last September.
Speaking of her former leading man, Carmen said, "I saw him at Star Magic ball. But I think the last time I spoke to Tita Marines [Elizalde], and she was with Echo [Jericho's nickname], I said hi.
"I can't remember how long ago. Few months [ago] I think."
Asked if she's open to working with Jericho again, the Malaysian actress replied, "Yeah, why not? I think it's a matter of the right project and also the right time.
"Hopefully one day."
