Newly crowned Miss Philippines-Universe 2017 Rachel Peters is profuse in thanking her loved ones and supporters who followed her feats in the beauty contest arena.
Prior to joining Binibining Pilipinas 2017, Rachel vied for Miss World-Philippines 2014 title and placed 4th runner-up.
Last Sunday, April 30, the Filipina-British beauty queen bested 39 other candidates in the national pageant held at the Araneta Coliseum.
“A truly unforgettable moment!!! I am so overwhelmed by all the love and support that I have received throughout this incredible journey.
“I still can't believe it but I'm over the moon and I'm so excited to be representing the Philippines in Miss Universe 2017!!!!” wrote Rachel on her Instagram account on Tuesday, May 2.
In her post, the 25-year-old morena beauty made special mention of her boyfriend, Camarines Sur Governor Miguel “Migz” Villafuerte, whom she described as “my love and my rock.”
Her message, “[T]hank you for always supporting me and my dreams. Love you!”
On Instagram a day earlier, May 1, Governor Migz congratulated Rachel for her win.
