Filipino group El Gamma Penumbra was hailed as the first winner of Asia's Got Talent yesterday, May 14, 2015.
The shadow group from Batangas bested 8 other finalists, including three from the Philippines: classical singer Gerphil Flores, 10-year-old singer Gwyneth Dorado and dance group Junior New System.
The other finalists were Chinese acrobats Gao Lin & Liu Xin, tap dance group Dance Thrilogy, Talento from Thailand, Triqstar from Japan and Khusugtun from Mongolia, which remained in the final two.

Meanwhile, Gerphil cried when she became the last finalist booted out before the announcement of the Top 2. She got a hug with David Foster, one of the judges who gave her the much-coveted golden buzzer.
