Matteo Guidicelli says financial status is a non-issue between him and girlfriend Sarah Geronimo.
Speaking to entertainment reporters, the Fil-Italian actor and athlete says, “Pressured to be richer? I don’t think there should be a competition. What matters is how much you love somebody.”
The 27-year-old Matteo makes this statement after a reporter asked if there is “pressure” for him to be “richer” than the 28-year-old Popstar Princess, who is one of the most well-paid stars in the business.
Born to well-off parents, Matteo merely smiles when another reported points out that he certainly also earns from his own showbiz career and other ventures.
Asked about his net worth, he shies away from the question.
He just says, "I don't know nga, e."
Earlier in the interview, the matter of financial stability is already brought up.
Matteo says that he is still in the process of saving up for the future.
“Kahit sino puwede masabi stable ka na.
“But, I still have a lot of goals and dreams. I still have a lot to achieve.
“So, we’re still moving forward kumbaga.”
Matteo is interviewed by entertainment reporters Wednesday, June 7, after the press launch for Sun Life’s collection of digital films at Makati Shangri-La hotel.
In the same interview, he is quizzed about the possibility of him settling down with Sarah in the near future.
To this, Matteo says, “Siyempre, when we get married with the person we really want to be with, we wanna give them everything.
“As the man, we want to give them a home, everything. So, you can’t stop until you get there.
"It’s a process.”
