Patrick Garcia supports the decision of John Lloyd Cruz to take an "indefinite leave" from showbiz.
He pointed out, “He's been working since I don’t know when.
“Parang hindi siya nagpahinga, I think it’s time for him to enjoy his life.”
Patrick and John Lloyd both started their showbiz careers in the early 1990s.
They forged their friendship when they became part of the ABS-CBN youth-oriented series Tabing Ilog.
Seeing how John Lloyd is being cast in a bad light in social media, Patrick has stepped up to defend his friend.
“Don’t judge him,” the 36-year-old actor said.
“We’ve loved him for the characters he played and for the roles he did awesomely.
“We love him for that, and now I think it’s time we love him for who he wants to be or who he is now.
“Ang social media kasi, ano e, they say a lot of things and maraming hindi totoo, di ba?”
Patrick, who has come to know his friend's “very deep” and “artistic” side, said: “He's not a bad person.”

"I know Ellen, but I’m not really that close to her.
