Hashtags member Tom Doromal refused to be put down despite fielding negative comments from some netizens on his social media accounts.
On his Instagram story today, December 14, Tom posted a video showing his short message to his “bashers.”
The 21-year-old Hashtags member said, “Sa mga bashers ko, alam kong makikita niyo ‘to. Salamat sa pag-view sa stories ko. Love you guys!”
Tom did not mention what spurred his bashers from leaving negative comments on his Instagram.
Based on his previous Instagram posts, Tom has been getting mixed reactions from netizens following the passing of his Hashtags co-member Franco Hernandez.
Tom was with Franco and three other companions when their boat got hit by big waves during their island-hopping tour in Davao Occidental last November 11.
This left their group stranded in the middle of the sea, resulting to the drowning accident that took the life of 26-year-old Franco.
In PEP.ph’s (Philippine Entertainment Portal) December 2 report, Franco’s girlfriend Janica Nam Floresca revealed untold details that led to her boyfriend’s accidental drowning and the alleged delay in rescue efforts following the incident.
When reached for comment, Tom’s camp did not issue any official statement about the incident, except to confirm that the 21-year-old Hashtags member already met with Franco's parents.
But hours after the report came out, Tom posted a cryptic tweet, as seen below:
It’s okay. God knows ?????

The following day, Tom engaged in a light banter with co-Hashtags member Jon Lucas about wanting to speak up about a certain issue.
The video of their banter, which was posted on Jon’s Instagram story, eventually got deleted.
Tom also exchanged messages with a netizen where he supposedly alluded to wanting to speak up about the issue, but didn't do so.
