Fil-Aussie model Jodie Elizabeth Tarasek, 22, revealed that she and ABS-CBN actor Paulo Avelino, 29, are set to celebrate their first anniversary as a couple this May.
Speaking to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Jodie admitted that the past year went by so fast, but she couldn't be more thankful to have a very supportive boyfriend like Paulo.
Jodie said, "He's been nothing more than supportive throughout everything in my life.
"You know, if I wanna stay in bed all day and sleep, he'll be supportive of that.
"Or if I take on hosting, he'll be supportive of that as well.
"I'm very lucky to have him."
PEP.ph had an exclusive interview with the Filipino-Australian model at the MTV Philippines headquarters in Mandaluyong City, last Friday, April 6,
The 22-year-old model is now easing her way into the entertainment industry as the newest host of MTV Philippines.
She went on to say that Paulo has been supportive of her very first hosting stint, but that they don't really interfere with each other's work-related decisions.
Jodie explained, "Me and Paulo, we're very respectful of each other's work.
"We never tell each other not to do anything. I'd like to think that we're both mature adults.
"And what I do is what I do and, and what he does is what he does."
Jodie added, "Our relationship is fantastic, actually.
"He's incredible. He's so good to me.
"And I couldn't be more thankful to have him in my life."
LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP. More than their romantic relationship, Jodie pointed out that she has found a best friend in Paulo.
"He's everything you would want. He's someone who is so supportive.
"He's like my best friend and my boyfriend all in one.
"But more than that, the thing that I appreciate most about him is that he gives me his time.
"No matter how busy his schedule can get, he's gonna come back and like, he always makes up for it.
"He's 'the boyfriend.' Maybe that's the best way to say it."
It was in July 2017 when word got out that Paulo is dating the Fil-Aussie model.
Later that month, Paulo confirmed in an interview with PEP.ph that he and Jodie are officially in a relationship.
"INSEPARABLE." The Kapamilya actor has always maintained a low-key relationship with Jodie, preferring to give details about their romance to a bare minimum.
Jodie, however, seemed comfortable relating how she and Paulo started dating.
She recalled, "We met through a mutual friend that I shot with.
"His close friend is a director and I did a TVC with him and we just got in touch through him.
"It was a totally unexpected thing but we just clicked, like we had known each other for a long time.
"Since then, we were inseparable, after our first date, we spent almost every single day together and here we are, one year later."
