Jennylyn Mercado, 31, admitted that she had a tough time coping with the loss of her adoptive mother, Lydia Mercado, who died of sepsis due to pneumonia in November 2016.
The Kapuso actress said, "Medyo nahirapan ako makabalik.
"Magtu-two years yun na nahirapan ako."
What are her most unforgettable lessons from Mommy Lydia?
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had an exclusive interview with Jennylyn at her contract signing for Tough Mama home appliances, held at Annabel’s Restaurant in Quezon City, last Saturday, June 23.
In April 2017, Jennylyn went to South Korea to fetch her biological father Noli Pineda and bring him back home for good.
Since then, Jennylyn was frequently seen spending time with Noli, her son Alex Jazz, and boyfriend Dennis Trillo.
Talking about how her family and friends helped her move forward in life, Jennylyn said, "Nandiyan naman talaga sila.
