Some netizens assumed Vice Ganda threw shade at Gilas Pilipinas basketball player Terrence Romeo, following the former's joke on the live episode of It’s Showtime, Thursday, July 12.
The comedian-TV host and the cager allegedly had a romantic involvement in the past.
During the "Tawag Ng Tanghalan" portion of It’s Showtime, one of the contestants said she remains friends with her boyfriend.
Vice interrupted her and said ex-lovers could not be friends.
“Hindi naman totoong nagiging magkaibigan ang magka-ex.
"Magkakilala lang kayo, ayos kayo, pero di kayo magkaibigan," Vice stressed.
Host Vhong Navarro asked Vice: “Kung may pagkakataon lang na mag-hi ka sa kanya, puwede bang mag-hi ka?”
Vice faced the camera and said, “Hi. Kamusta presinto?” before breaking into a laugh.
NETIZENS REACT. Some netizens took to Twitter and commented that Vice’s comment was meant for Terrence and his recent discord.
Early morning on Thursday, reports surfaced that the Gilas player figured in a conflict outside a bar in Quezon City.
A video also showed Terrence being escorted by security outside the Quezon City Police Station 10.
Hours after, Terrence tweeted to assure the public he was not held up in prison or at the station.
He also denied starting any trouble and added there is available CCTV footage to prove his claim.
