Heart Evangelista expressed her support for husband Senator Chiz Escudero, who filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for governor in Sorsogon, his hometown.
The Kapuso actress accompanied Chiz at the Commission on Elections Sorsogon Provincial Office, Sorsogon City, October 12, Friday.
Heart took to Instagram Story and posted some photos that were taken when Chiz filed his COC.
In one of the photos, the 33-year-old actress wrote: “Always here to support you.”
This is not the first time Chiz is running for a local office in his hometown.
The 49-year-old politician served as representative of Sorsogon’s District 1 for three consecutive terms—from 1998 to 2007.
He was elected senator in 2007.
He ran for vice president in the 2016 elections but lost.
He will run as governor in 2019, the year that his term as senator will end.
