Star Power 15 will sing songs of gratitude this Sunday

Gary Valenciano, Vina Morales and Zsa Zsa Padilla gave their advice for the contestants.

The Megastar Sharon Cuneta continues her search for the next female pop superstar in Star Power. This Sunday, November 14, the Star Power 15 will sing songs of gratitude to the persons for whom they feel deeply indebted.

We bid goodbye to finalists Rheena Ferrer, Camille Peralta, Glaiza Micua, Cristelle Gonzales and Jizelle Formilleza in Star Power last Sunday as they were the first five eliminated in the talent search program Sharon's Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta gave words of encouragement to those eliminated, saying that there would still be other venues for their dreams of stardom in the future.

"I think na malinaw na malinaw na sinabi ko sa umpisa, na lahat kayong Star Power 20 ay napakagagaling. Para sa akin panalo na kayong lahat.

"Yung mapipili [mae-eliminate] ay yung walang Star Power just for the meantime. Ibig sabihin, may nakita na kami sa inyo, pero puwede pang umulit, puwede pang sumubok muli," the Megastar said before she announced the five individuals who were cut off from the competition.

On the brighter side, veteran music artists Gary Valenciano, Vina Morales and Zsa Zsa Padilla advised the Star Power 20 before their ASAP XV performance, to always have the guts to face life's most difficult challenges.

"When you step out on the stage, tandaan niyo na suportado namin kayo dito sa ASAP, dahil alam namin that you'll give 100 percent of yourself. God bless you, girls," Gary V told the finalists.

Vina, on the other hand, told the Star Power 20 that there must be no room for giving up. "Ito na lang ang maipapayo ko, talagang reach for the stars. Huwag ka kayong mawawalan ng pag-asa. You'll have to give your best. Pray harder. Sa mga narating n'yo ngayon, palakpak lang ang maibibigay ko."

Meanwhile, in Star Powerthis Sunday, the remaining 15 finalists must battle it out with their songs of gratitude. Who among them will shine? And who among them will follow the footsteps of the first five eliminated?

Akiko Solonof Cebuwill sing Yeng Constantino's "Salamat" for her supportive father Achilles, while bubbly Ninay Lescanoof Lipa City will give her own rendition of Aiza Seguerra's "I'll Be There For You," which is also dedicated to her father who taught her how to sing.

Natasia Cunananfrom Bulacanwill be singing Regine Velasquez's "You Are My Song"for her mom Ruby who has brain tumor. Meanwhile, Sarah Geronimo's "Dahil Minahal Mo Ako"is Batangueño native Rose Ann Francisco'sode of thanks to her mother Maria.

Bataan's Laurice Bermillo will sing Carrie Underwood's version of "Angels Brought Me Here"to thank her mom Mary Ann, while Manileño Angeline Quintowill be singing Sarah Geronimo's "Paano Kita Mapapasalamatan" for her guardian.

For Taguig's Sam Hernandez, "Thanks To You"by Tyler Collins is the best song to thank her mom Elizabeth. Nanette Inventor's "So Very Happy"is Krissel Valdezof Davao'ssong for her ailing grandfather Aristedes.

Donna Cruz, Mikee Cojuangco, and Regine Velasquez's collaboration in "I Can" will be Monica Sacayof Leyte's inspiration in thanking her aunt Josephine who served as her guardian since childhood.
