Before GMA Network makes another version of MariMar, PEP looks back on the teleserye that launched a power couple in showbiz.
The Mexicanovela of Thalia was first remade by GMA-7 in 2007, with Marian Rivera playing the title role and Dingdong Dantes as Sergio, her leading man.
In the 2015 version, Miss World 2013 Megan Young and
Tom Rodriguez will reprise the roles of MariMar and Sergio,
respectively.
They will portray the story of Marimar, a poor girl who falls in love with Sergio, the heir of a rich clan.
