“I don’t ever want to see it.”
Ito ay bahagi ng Facebook post ni Portia Carlos, girlfriend ng Razorback drummer na si Brian Velasco, 41, hinggil sa recorded Facebook Live video ng musikero na nag-suicide noong Miyerkules, January 16.
Ang Razorback ay ang OPM rock band na nabuo noong ‘90s.
Sa Facebook post ni Portia nitong January 17, Huwebes, nanawagan siya sa netizens na huwag siyang padalhan ng kopya ng video ng kanyang yumaong boyfriend.
Mensahe ni Portia, “We, the closest, have not seen it. I don't ever want to see it. Not even a screenshot.
"Please think of that when you feel like sharing or spreading it. PLEASE DON'T BE A PARTY TO ME SEEING IT.”
Nagbigay rin siya ng payo sa mga taong naapektuhan dahil napanood ang video.
“People going to the wake, don't mindlessly discuss how you felt about parts of it with me.
“I understand you hurt also but please process what you saw and how you felt about it with somebody else.”
Pakiusap pa ni Portia, huwag siyang i-tag sa mga tribute para kay Brian.
“Please don't tag me in your tributes or photos with him either. I only want to see them when I'm ready to see them.”
DOH MAKES AN APPEAL
Halos ganito rin ang nilalaman ng official statement ng Department of Health (DOH) na ipinost sa Facebook nitong Huwebes.
Nakikiramay ang government agency dahil sa “apparent suicide” ni Brian.
Umapela rin ang DOH na itigil ang pagpapakalat ng video.
(Published as is): “We aware of the video going around the internet of his suicidal act. We request for the public to stop sharing this tragic video and respect the family who are still grieving and in pain due to this unfortunate event.”
Binanggit din sa statement na “serious health condition” ang depression.
Ayon sa kanilang datos, higit sa tatlong milyong Pilipino ang nakararanas ng depresyon.
“In the Philippines 3.3 million Filipinos suffer from depressive disorders with suicide rates in 2.5 males and 1.7 females 100,000.
“We need to start talking about depression to end the stigma surrounding mental health because when left unattended, it can lead to suicide.”
