Written by Pablo Gomez, Mutya is a fantasy novel about mermaids. It tells the story of a little girl born with a fish tail (portrayed by Mutya Orquia). She is the daughter of the prince of the sea (portrayed by Alfred Vargas) and a human (portrayed byPrecious Lara Quigaman). Mutya is given away by her grandmother and grows up under the care of a fisherman (portrayed by Jayson Gainza).
It begins airing on ABS-CBN by January 31, 2011.
