Those who are into metalcore music would know what to do once they hear Killswitch Engage: scream and headbang!

And that was what the fans did at the concert of the Massachusetts-based band in Skydome on July 31, 2013.

Local rock band Slapshock served as the front act, playing its heavy riffing songs ending its set with "Cariño Brutal."

At exactly 9:30 p.m., Killswitch Engage began performing their opening song, "The New Awakening."

Some changes: Former vocalist Howard Jones was replaced by Jesse Leach, the band's main man from 1999 to 2002.

Justin Foley, the drummer, didn't make it due to a bike accident. And doing the percussion duties for the band in its Asia/Europe tour will Jordan Mancino, the drummer of As I Lay Dying. which played in the recent Pulp Summer Slam 13.

Their repertoire growled with their greatest songs, including "A Bid Farewell," "The Hell in Me," "Life to Lifeless," and a couple more when guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz asked the crowd, "Do you want to do a circle pit?"

Fans screamed with excitement and got themselves ready for the night's ultimate mosh pit, with the band playing "Rose of Sharyn!"

The crowd's energy didn't falter even if they jumped nonstop with "In Due time," "My Curse," and "The End of Heartache," which was used in the film Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

For the encore, they played "My Last Serenade," and thanked Vernon Go, Slapshock, Pulp Live World, and the fans for making it to the concert on a work-day night.

The concert ended at around 10:30 p.m.
