Singaporean director Anthony Chen returns to the Philippines to grace special screenings of his critically acclaimed film Ilo Ilo.
The family drama had a screening in the province of Iloilo last December 1 and another screening at the Newport Performing Arts Theater last December 3.
Ilo Ilo was recently chosen as Best Picture in the 50th Golden Horse Awards, which is considered the Oscars of Chinese-language films. Anthony also won Best New Director and Best Original Screenplay while the Best Supporting Actress award went to Yeo Yann Yann.
