Derek Ramsay is excited to work with Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera.
The TV5 actor is always eager to work with actors from different networks. So, when offered to do a movie with the GMA-7 actress, Derek immediately gave his nod.
The new tandem was announced earlier today, April 10, at the press conference prepared for Derek after signing a two-picture contract with Regal Entertainment.
Derek is the newest addition to Lily Monteverde’s "Regal Babies."
The hunk actor admits he never had a chance to interact with Marian in the past.
The only instance he could remember was, “The longest conversation that I had with Marian is 10 minutes in New York.”
In that brief encounter with Marian, Derek found out that, “She’s very simple and down-to-earth.”
Because of this, Derek says, “I’d love to work with her.”
He adds, “When I meet people like that, I wanna work with them kasi it goes to show what kind of people they are.
“Kahit na ang laki ng success na naabot nila, ganyan pa rin sila.”
Derek recalls, “This has been offered to me na matagal na.
“Matagal nang pinag-uusapan na gagawa kami ng movie ni Marian.
“Twitter fans have also been hoping na magkatrabaho kami.”
“How often do I run into Marian Rivera?
“She’s with another network so, it would be nice that I can work with people outside my home network.”
Aside from Marian, the Kapatid actor also welcomes movie offers that would give him opportunity to work with actors from other TV stations.
“I wanna work with everyone,” he said.
“I think I have some sort of success in my movies because hindi ako namimili ng gusto kong makatrabaho.”
After transferring from ABS-CBN to TV5, Derek was able to work with Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis and Andi Eigenmann.
He is currently working with ABS-CBN star Cristine Reyes and GMA actress Heart Evangelista for Viva Films’s upcoming movie My Trophy Wife.
