Nothing will change when it comes to her career even after Yeng Constantino weds her fiancé Yan Asuncion.
Yeng, who will be marrying her boyfriend early next year, told the media that she will still be the same Pop Rock Princess after her wedding.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other invited media were able to interview Yeng at the Nuvali Summerscape event held in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna last Saturday, April 26.
“I talked to my manager Erickson Raymundo about sa direction ko. I think wala naman masyadong magbabago.
“There are a lot of perceptions na when you get married, you are not cool anymore.
I’m just gonna be me.
According to Yeng, even her fiancé told her not to change anything when it comes to her music career.
“He wants me to shine on my own platform. Meaning he’s making sure inside, because that is passion, passion is to worship, passion is to serve God, and at the same way I love performing.”
SAME POP ROCK PRINCESS. Yeng further added that there’s no need for her to change as a music artist.
She reasoned out, “Kasi if I would do that, I’m just faking myself.
“It’s evolution, e, it’s not something that you do forcefully.
“It will come naturally, as time comes.”
Even her mother studio supports her style right now.
Ganun lang talaga ako as a person.”
Will the her type of music stay the same?
“We’ll see kapag nandun na tayo.”
RIGHT TEAM. Meanwhile, the Kapamilya singer is happy to have lasted this long in the entertainment industry.
The former Grand Dreamer of Pinoy Dream Academy said, “Nagulat din ako kasi, di ba, kapag nanggaling ka sa reality TV show…'yon yung mga grateful talaga ako.
“Ang dami ko ring kilala na from different reality shows, mga singing contest na wala na dito.
“So, sabi ko lang talaga kay God, ‘Lord, salamat kasi alam ko namang maraming rin deserving na marami din magagaling pero for some reason, I’m still here.”
The 25-year-old singer gives credit to her managing team who helps her to come up with new ideas.
“ I’m with the right team, I’m not gonna say na it’s all because of me.
“I’m with the right team, I’m surrounded with the right people, and everything talaga na ginagawa ko sobrang hinihingi ko lang kay God.
“Minsan kasi darating ka sa point na parang alam mo may dead end, ‘What’s next Lord?’
“Pero usually when you’re with the right people, again yung manager kong si Erickson [Raymundo], support ng Star Magic sa akin, there are voices na nagsabi sa 'kin na maganda yung corporation, ang maganda doon, maganda yan.
This is what I want to do.
“At saka pag sinabi mo sa people na naniwala sa 'yo, pambihira, parang kaya mong i-conquer lahat.
“I just can do it, sabi sa 'kin ng ano ko, e, kaya ko daw! I’ll do it ‘pag trusted ka.”
