Cinemalaya season is here once again and independent film enthusiasts are abuzz about the entries this year that celebrate Filipino ingenuity in independent filmmaking.
The Cinemalaya entry Mariquina had its gala last Monday night, August 4, at the Cultural
Center of the Philippines main theater.
The event was graced by the stars of the
film, including Former First Lady Imelda Marcos, who has a special
participation in the movie.
Another
highlight of the gala was the arrival of the film's star, Mylene Dizon, with boyfriend former PBA player Jason Webb.
